**Spending the weekend researching + organising for the 75 Hard challenge!** *Have you heard of it?* 💭 It’s a regime involving a list of 5 strict daily rules: 1) follow a diet (no 🍺 or cheat days) 2) complete two 45 minute workouts (one must be outside!) 3) take daily progress pictures 4) drink 1 gallon of water 5) read 10 pages of a non-fiction book 50% of this list is literally unrealistic for me so I’m going to alter it slightly in the hopes it becomes more accessible to me. *Why would I do this?* ♾️ Consistency and discipline are two characteristics I really value in people and I don’t believe I possess them myself. I want to work on this. 🏋️ I have been neglecting my mental and physical health of late so I desperately want to regain control of this. 📚 Since university I fell out of love with reading. It used to be my safe haven but now I view it as a time-wasting activity. Gah! ☀️ I want to push myself. I want to see the effects of self-discipline. I want to be proud of myself. I want to feel more confident. I want to be optimistic and seize the day. I’m planning on following a fitness plan I’ve discovered which does incorporate rest days. I don’t feel guilty about this whatsoever because rest days are important for rejuvenation. I also believe it’ll assist with remaining consistent. I’m cutting out take-aways + 🍺 except on social occasions. I’m going to take film mini-vlogs + take progress pictures when I feel like it. I’ll strive for drinking 2L of water every day, and I fully intend on reading every night before bed. I know this is going to suck tremendously but I need a new challenge. I need to shake things up a bit. There is a rule that if you miss a day then you have to start from the beginning. This sounds kinda tough but I like the idea of it because it might end up taking me months to complete this and I don’t see that as a bad thing. The worst case scenario would be giving up entirely, obviously, but it would also suck if I completed the 75 days and then return to my old ways. Regardless, I’m giving it a shot. I’ve done a 45 minute workout already today and I’m now researching meal plans so I can stock up for next week. Eeeeeekkkk. Let’s hope I can keep at this. *Anyone else wanna join in?* 🫣
