They are a vast space filled with tiny, almost enclosed corners. There is no feeling of an open endless landscape. On the contrary, everything feels made for quiet and solitude..I stumbled upon a small lake surrounded by hills. Calm water, a light mist, and no one around. It was incredibly quiet. I walked for a long time, took many photos, I just could not stop. It was one of those rare places you do not want to leave..After a couple of days in the mountains, I felt it was time to move on. The national park was right on the border with Spain, the perfect final note before a new chapter of my journey..I crossed into Spain by car. First of all, I travel at my own pace. It is important for me to stop where I feel like it and drive as much as I need. Second, I truly believe that beautiful and special moments do not follow a schedule. You have to give them space and time. And third, I had one big plan. I was going to film a vlog in a special location. I will not give away too much just yet, let it stay a little mystery. The footage is already on my hard drive, and as soon as I have a bit of free time, I will get back to it..Before hitting the road, I stayed overnight in a hotel to rest and gather my thoughts. The next morning, I set out on my way. Spanish roads turned out to be surprisingly comfortable, even near the main highways. I found myself enjoying the simple feeling of being on the move. The drive to Portugal took almost ten hours, and for most of the way, heavy rain was pouring down. I did not make any real stops, just a few quick breaks to refuel and grab a snack. My full focus was on the road. It felt like my own little marathon where the goal was not to rush but just to keep going..Thank you for reading to the end.
