I’ve been reading about the 5am club. Have you heard about it? Apparently the most successful people begin their day at 5am. But crucially what they also do is employ the 20/20/20 method. This means 20 minutes of exercise (I think sex counts!) 20 minutes of reflection, so journaling or meditation. And then 20 minutes of learning, so maybe reading or listening to a podcast.

This morning I braved the cold with my skipping rope and jumped around chaotically for a while. I think it might be easier to get myself a winter buddy and simply fuck them every morning for 20 minutes. Any volunteers? ;-)

It’s been a drizzly day in England 🌧️☔️

I’ve spent this somber Sunday doing loads of washing, practising my French and reading my book.

I’m currently reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and there have been many moments when I’ve needed to put the book down and reflect. I’ve spent some time today discussing chapters with my mum and my friend who have both been reading the book. We’ve all really enjoyed the introspection it encourages. I’ve especially enjoyed listening to their insights - hearing how a book makes someone feel is a wonderful way to connect with them.
