Since I’ve become quite a well-known manager worldwide—thanks to IG, OF, and many recent podcasts—I receive constant job offers. Most often, brothel owners across Europe want me to run their establishments as a head manager. I keep declining one offer after another because I’m not ready to leave my home club—it’s a matter of the heart for me. ❤️
I will certainly decline this company’s offer as well, but out of respect for the owner—and because I also need to do some research in the city—I decided to make a little trip. Still, just from my conversations with these business owners, I can already see the core problem with their clubs. They are simply used to solving everything in this business with money. To persuade me, they’re actually offering far more than I currently earn. That’s how they treat all women in the sex industry—whether a sex worker, a cleaning staff member, or a head manager. Just give them money, and they’ll do anything.
I’m not saying money isn’t a factor—of course, it is. But in this industry, other things matter just as much: feeling safe, being respected, and being accepted. Women in the sex business make so much money that it's actually difficult to motivate them purely with a higher salary. I’ve heard it many times:
"Kathy, I make around $40K a month in your club. I know I could make $60K at that other place, but it’s just not worth it. I don’t feel the same vibe, the same safety, or the same acceptance there."
And it’s the same for me as a manager—I’d rather earn "less" and work in a place where I feel good than make more money in a club that doesn’t align with me.
As strange as it may sound, people in the sex business are not so easily bought—at least not with money alone. :)

As one of the biggest clubs in Europe, we of course have many regular clients. I’m talking about the guys who come at least once a week — that’s just normal. But then, there’s this very specific and funny group of clients.
They call themselves the "Pussy Diggers."
Technically, they’re not even a real group — they don’t know each other personally. They’re anonymous members of a secret internet forum. You need special access to join that forum, but of course, it wasn’t a problem for us to get our hands on a login. Over the years, we — the managers (and even the girls) — have had so much fun reading that forum. (And of course, there is a international version of it, which I find interesting as well)
These guys basically write reviews about every single sex worker in the country. It’s ridiculous. For them, coming to our club and having sex with our girls isn’t even a hobby anymore — it’s practically a full-time job. Honestly, I’m not even sure they enjoy it.
A typical guy from this forum visits us around 3-4 times a week, always scanning the lineup for new girls. The moment they spot someone new, they immediately pay for her services. And then, as soon as possible, they write an extremely detailed review on the forum.
Reading those reviews is pure entertainment. They literally describe the girls and their services the way someone would review a car — talking about features, age, experience, appearance, performance, conditions, pricing, longevity, and so on. Most of the time, they’re super critical too. These guys expect some kind of porn star performance combined with the perfect girlfriend experience — all for a bargain price — and they’re always shocked when reality doesn’t match their fantasy.
What makes it even funnier is that these reviews are meant to be serious, but I just can’t help laughing every time I read them. And the best part? We know exactly who these guys are (we even know their forum nicknames), but they have no clue who the others are — and they definitely have no idea that we’re in on the whole thing. It’s just ridiculous.
We are having some issues with this girl, Simona, lately.
She is receiving a lot of complaints from clients about her service. On Monday, we were discussing what to do with her. I suggested that I would try to speak with her a bit more about what's happening. And today, the chance to speak with her came quite quickly... Right after a few minutes of my night shift starting, they called me from reception about a client who was complaining about a girl’s service. Simona. Great. So I used that opportunity, and after I dealt with the client, I had a deep conversation with her about what happened in the room with the client. "WTF did I just see? I can’t believe what happened! That girl from room 43 is absolutely crazy! I thought this was a club, not a porn movie production... I felt so shy and embarrassed next to her. All the rooms fully booked and most of the workers had a very bad week, so they were ready to rock the night = to make at least 2k euro/dollars. That means they were trying to finish every client as fast as possible. That, of course, means more complaints from clients because not everybody enjoys that kind of fast-food McDonald's-type of experience. Unfortunately, most of the guys spend all the paid time first and then, after that, they are complaining and asking for a refund. I always say it’s like watching the whole movie in the cinema and claiming a refund because you didn’t like it. Or eating the whole steak in a restaurant and then wanting your money back. It doesn’t work like that... But one particular complaint this night was really outstanding. Alice is a worker whose specialty is squirting. She actually charges extra money for that, and people enjoy it. Of course, she always tells them in advance about what is going to happen. With this guy, she somehow forgot. Or she did, but she used some code name or whatever. The point is, he didn’t know. And he didn’t like it at all. She squirted all over him. When he came to my office, he looked like he just got out of a swimming pool. I immediately knew what had happened.

Well, I have seen some very extreme cases at both ends of the spectrum. The biggest girl I’ve ever met was Elisabeth—she weighed 140 kg (308 lbs) and was around 20 years old at the time. I’ve written about this girl many times on my OF. She’s a Romanian girl with so many client complaints about her service. We’ve fired her a few times already. But we have this stupid motto: "Every girl deserves a second chance."
We apply this rule especially when the issue is the quality of service (not something more serious like stealing money—in those cases, we’re much stricter, of course). So, we basically never fire the girls forever. Instead, we temporarily suspend them from renting rooms for a few months, and then they can come back. Usually, it helps.

I was recently asked by an Australian magazine to write a one-week diary of my work as a brothel manager. They wanted me to document everything I did during that week. So, I chose a particularly long week when I worked six days and had only one day off. Normally, I work a bit less, but this was a great opportunity for the diary.
As a side project for this diary, I tried to roughly estimate how many sexual acts took place during that week. Don’t ask me about the methodology I used :)... But I came to an estimated number—5,700! In just one week. I was stunned.
Especially because, during that entire week, I didn’t get laid even once. I simply didn’t have time for anything sexy by myself... That week was just work and sleep :)...

As I mentioned in some of my previous posts, January and February are traditionally the worst months in our business—for whatever reason. But even if I didn’t know that based on my many years of experience, I’d definitely notice it from certain signs. The reason is obvious: the situation in other clubs, in other countries, is the same—very bad. Even after so many years, I still make some stupid mistakes during the first interview with a new girl. I just had a new Romanian girl, Corina. After I explained everything to her, I led her to her room, and she started working. She seems experienced enough, so explaining the basics didn’t take too long.
Well, after about an hour, she had her first panic button situation. When we arrived at the room with security, there was a Russian guy who had way too many vodkas. My team put him out of the club, and I had a little talk with her. After comforting her, I asked why she had even accepted a client in that state—I considered it a bit risky. She replied, “But I didn’t know I could say no to a client. I thought I had to accept everyone.”
I somehow forgot to tell her the very basics of our business. Yes, the girls can say NO to any client. That was my fault. I just wouldn’t have imagined that, these days, any girl could think differently.
Sometimes, famous people visit our club. It’s rare, but it happens. Of course, we always protect our clients’ privacy—unlike some clubs that leak information to journalists.
But tonight, for the first time, I was tempted to post about it on social media. I didn’t, but it was hard to resist. Why? Because our VIP lounge was occupied by members of a far-right political party known for their radical views: anti-homosexuality, traditional family values and lives, no contraception, etc.
I initially thought they came to provoke something so we were watching them more closely. But nope—they later went to the rooms with the girls. Their "traditional family values" didn’t stop them from choosing Romanian workers or even two Nigerian girls. Oh, the irony.
"Loverboy" or "Romeo" is the nickname (and academic term) for a certain type of guy in this industry. They’re not traditional pimps —they don’t use fear. Instead, they date women in the business, make them fall in love, and then live off their money.
One such loverboy was involved with Madalina, who worked at our club for several years. She fell in love with him, and he moved to our city with her. They eventually broke up, and he started dating another woman in the business.
He told Madalina she couldn’t work in the city anymore and had to leave. She decided to listen to him and moved to Amsterdam. A few weeks ago, I was in Amsterdam and ran into her. She told me everything, so I encouraged her to come back—she shouldn’t let that guy to tell her what do to her.
She returned, but when the guy found out, he came to the club. This is something we are always super cautious about so that was the final straw. Our security handled the situation, called the police, and now he’s arrested. Justice served.
Stories like this are not very common, but when they do happen, workers need to have a strong support structure around them to handle the situation. First and foremost, the business itself needs to be legal so that the worker can go to the police without fear. Secondly, clubs must provide adequate security for their workers.
As I mentioned, this was a rare occasion, but in such cases, clubs also need to be prepared to cooperate fully with the police.
One of my friends, S., has always had trouble finding a girl. He’s too shy, too much of a “good guy.” We all know girls often prefer bad boys... Anyway, he finally found love. He lives in a different city, so I haven’t seen him in two yea.rs but we often chat. For half a year now, he’s been talking about this girl, L. Finally, he sent me a picture of them together.
Aaaand of course, I know her. It’s not L.—it’s Gina, and I know her from the club. She isn’t a regular—she works with us just a few days a month, so I don’t know her that well.

Well, even after almost nine years, there are still situations I haven’t experienced yet...
Part of our club is currently under reconstruction, and we’ve "lost" some rooms that need to be repaired immediately due to a water/pipe issue. The problem is that we are fully booked for the next two months on all Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Right now, we have several women who have paid for their rooms, but we can’t offer them an alternative. On the days when we had different rooms available, we gave them those, but there are many days when we are completely overbooked...
So, at the moment, we are offering anyone willing to give up their room on those particular days additional free rent of their choice (of course, where capacity allows :)).
This weekend, I really feel like a flight attendant who has to tell passengers that the plane is overbooked and someone isn’t going with them. 😅

We have a partnership with a well-known NGO that is supposed to help women in the sex industry. They visit our club once a month to provide free STD testing for those who are interested. Honestly, it’s more of a help to the NGO than to us. Most of our workers have enough money to voluntarily undergo thorough medical checkups at clinics or hospitals.
Testing in the club is useful for the NGO because it helps them report high activity numbers, which are funded by grants. Where else could they find so many workers in one place? In a single night at our club, they can report more tests than they usually conduct in a whole month.
That was fine—until now. We recently discovered they’ve been billing the women’ insurance companies for the tests, meaning they’re being paid twice: once from grants and once from the women’ insurance. How do they know the girls’ names? They told them they needed their ID in case of a positive HIV result, claiming it’s a legal requirement.
But here’s the kicker: the insurance companies now know their clients were tested by this NGO. And everyone in our country knows this NGO only works with sex workers. The organization that claims to protect the privacy of sex workers has instead exposed them to their insurance companies.
I’m furious. I’m definitely ending our cooperation with them, but not before I let them feel my anger—loud and clear.

We have a man who visits regularly, at least twice a week. He looks great for his age, but here’s the kicker: he’s turning 91 this year!
He’s quite particular and only sees three specific girls—no interest in anyone else. Those girls know exactly how to “work” with him now. Alice, his favorite, told me he’s surprisingly vital when it comes to sex.

Lot of times I got asked what is the oldest woman working in our club. Currently the oldest woman we have is Joanne, she was born 1967, so it makes her 57. This is such a mystery to me. We recently had another new girl join us with a background in the porn industry. Like most of them, she didn’t succeed in our club and left after just two days, making almost no money.
Why is this such a puzzle to me? I’d think porn stars have all the tools for success in this business:
1) They know how to perform (or pretend to perform) “great” sex.They’re skilled at acting, and let’s be honest, being a sex worker often requires excellent acting skills. 2) They’re generally comfortable with “extra” requests because they’ve dealt with much more extreme scenarios in their porn careers. 3) Some are even relatively well-known in the industry, which I’d imagine would appeal to clients—having sex with someone they’ve seen in porn movies seems like it would be a draw.
But apparently not. Out of all the porn stars who’ve tried working in our club, only one has managed to stick around for a significant period and succeed.
She openly admits that the money she makes here doesn’t even compare to what she earned in porn—it’s much better. She was genuinely well-known worldwide in the porn industry, yet she still earns far more as a sex worker than she ever did as a porn star.
It’s fascinating—and still a bit of a mystery to me.

After so many years in this line of work, I’ve seen my fair share of absurd client requests :) . But this really set a new bar.
A German client came in and paid for two girls. One of them had to wear a Santa Claus costume he brought along. For the second, he specifically requested the smallest girl in the house—Wendy, who weighs just 45 kg and has 155 cm.

In the last few months, I’ve had several interesting encounters with people who either were (or claimed to be) very wealthy, with net worths of over $20 million, or were working as managers or assistants for such individuals. Their request is always the same:
"I’m looking for a girl for myself (or my boss), someone who would be a paid lover. I want to take her on a three-week holiday on my yacht or a luxury trip around the world. Since you’re the brothel manager, you should be able to help me find her."
Well, no. This is one of the hardest requests in our business, and here’s why:
1) Legal Issues: The legal arrangements for such a deal are very controversial, if not outright illegal. Running a brothel where girls and clients meet is one thing. Sending a girl off on a yacht with an unknown person is something entirely different.
2) Safety and Guarantees: There are no guarantees for either side. I cannot guarantee to a girl that the client is reliable, no matter how much money is involved. We always tell the girls: “We can ensure your safety while you’re in our house. Outside of that, we have no power or means to protect you.”
3) The Business Side: Most people outside this industry have no idea how much money the girls earn in clubs. When someone says, “Money is not an issue for me,” I reply:
“I assume you want the best girls, right? Are you aware that the best girls can easily make €50,000 ($60,000) a month? They achieve this working 10-12 hours a day. If she accompanies you for a three-week trip, that’s essentially 24-hour shifts. She has to be with you at all times, ready and available. This requires far more effort, attention, and work—not to mention the added risk. Outside the club, there’s nobody to help her if she gets into trouble with you. So if she even considers such a request, the starting offer would have to be around €150,000–€200,000 ($150,000–$200,000). Are you still saying money isn’t an issue?”
The reaction is always the same—they’re shocked. They assume they can pay $20,000, and the girl will be grateful for the chance to spend three weeks on a yacht :)
Recently, during Christmas, I noticed a few old-school movies from the 1940s and 1950s on TV that included scenes set in brothels. This sparked a lively discussion among some of our girls about the differences between the old days and the present in our club.
Many of the girls pointed out how different the clients seemed back then. Visiting a brothel was a big event—men would dress in nice suits, be freshly groomed, and wear luxury perfumes before seeing a prostitute. It seemed like you had to be a true gentleman to visit a brothel in those days.
Now, the girls are saying how much times have changed. Many clients today show up smelly, wearing jogging pants and dirty T-shirts, with unkempt nails and messy hair. Not all of them, of course, but enough to make the girls wonder: Where are the real men of the past? Why is it so common these days to visit a brothel looking so unkempt, when it used to be such a formal occasion?
I don’t have a perfect answer for that. My argument is that comparing today’s clients to how clients are portrayed in old movies isn’t entirely fair. I believe there’s a lot of romanticism in those old films, and it’s hard to say if the reality back then was exactly as it’s shown on screen.
That said, I’ve also studied the history of brothels, and there’s some truth to the idea that men paid much more attention to their appearance (and smell) when visiting brothels in the past.
So, my question is: How is it possible that these days, so many men don’t care about how they look when they’re about to have sex with a woman—even if it’s paid sex?
